Gali privacy policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

The short version: everything you log in Gali stays on your own phone. I don't collect it, I can't see it, and I don't share it or sell it. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking.

What Gali stores

The things you enter: your baby's name, feeds, sleep, nappies, solids, notes and your settings. This is kept on your device, inside the app. It is not sent to me or to any server of mine.

What Gali doesn't collect

Reminders

If a timer is left running, Gali can nudge you with a notification. These are created on your phone and don't go through any server. You can switch them off in your phone's settings.

Supporting Gali

Gali is free. If you'd like to say thank you, there is an optional tip in the app. Tips are paid through Apple's in-app purchase, so Apple handles the payment. I never see your card or payment details, and Apple only gives me overall sales figures, not who tipped.

To remember that you've said thanks, the app keeps a simple marker on your phone and in your own iCloud account (using Apple's iCloud key-value storage), so it carries across your devices. It holds nothing else, and I can't access it.

Backups

Your phone's normal backups, such as iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer, may include Gali's data, depending on your Apple settings. That is between you and Apple. I have no access to those backups.

Deleting your data

You can delete any entry inside the app. Deleting the app from your phone removes all of its data from that phone.

Children

Gali is a tool for parents and carers, not for children. It doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including the details you log about your baby, which stay on your device.

If this changes

If a future version of Gali handles data differently, for example when sharing a log with a partner is added, I'll update this page and the date at the top before it happens.
